I want to immigrate to Europe and denounce my American citizenship. How I do this

I want to immigrate to Europe and denounce my American citizenship. How I do this?
I want to leave America and head for life else where, but before I do this, I want to work abroad and shop for a country that suits me before settling in. My main concern is making a living. I am currently qualified in the state of OH as a nurse's aid and a truck driver. I was wondering if my current US endorsements would be accepted in the country I want to work in, be transferable or would I have to go through the course all over again to get it and is it a big pain to get the work visas and how do I get them? I am planning to work in either the U.K or Ireland for awhile and eventually move to Switzerland and claiming citizenship there or go to Switzerland directly, live there awhile and then claim citizenship. My reasons for this are my own and if you do not have any useful insight or claim me as unpatriatic as an exscuse to be rude, then I kindly ask of you not to answer. For those with good advice, thank you in advance. Please note I did ask kindly for rude replies not to be posted. Many such responses have been and therefore their comments have been flagged and removed. I do not want to join a foriegn legion. I don't think I'd want to fight for a country to gain its citizenship to find out its a country I rather not live in. Also, fighting in a foriegn armed service is a quick way to renounce my US citizenship. Not a good idea for the previous stated reason. One more day and I will close this question for it seems I am getting no more replies.

Wish I could go with you. From what I understand it is very difficult to get work in any european country unless you are a citizen. You would be a dishwasher or have a menial position. It is difficult to get citizenship as well. Europe is the new America.
2 :
It is not necessary to denounce your American citizenship to live overseas. Just do it.
3 :
Just a cautionary note. Germany, Austria and Switzerland will be a hard place to get accepted by the people that live there, unless you have their genes. I know cuz I tried to move to Austria, but unless you knew the language or had some Austrian in your blood, you were always an outsider. Same experience in Germany. Others I have talked to said they encountered the same problems in Switzerland. Sorry for the not so great news, but I thought I should let you know. I was born in Europe, but am now living in Canada.

Truck driver might not work out so well since they drive on the opposite side of the road in the UK. That takes a LOT of getting used to. To make matters worse, better than half of the roads in the UK are one lane so you have to be ultra careful. Also, housing costs are sky high. What we would consider an average house costs $1,000,000 or more because of the currency exchange rate. I don't know anything about nursing transferability, sorry. Remember, there ARE 49 other states in the US, all different in many ways, but alike in the ways of use to you. Good luck.

Just as immigration laws in the US are tough, so are those in Europe. In most cases you have to: 1. have a family member or job to sponsor you 2. marry someone from that country 3. have lived and worked there for a certain amount of time In order to get a job there you will need to apply for a work visa (just like US laws). This is easier done if you can line up a job before going over and having your future employer sponsor you. I suggest you read up on the immigration laws for the countries you are looking to move to. http://www.ukimmigration.com/ http://www.immigrantcouncil.ie/ http://switzerland.isyours.com/E/GE/immi.htm As for renouncing your US citizenship, once you gain citizenship from your new country: A person wishing to renounce his or her U.S. citizenship must voluntarily and with intent to relinquish U.S. citizenship: 1. appear in person before a U.S. consular or diplomatic officer, 2. in a foreign country (normally at a U.S. Embassy or Consulate); and 3. sign an oath of renunciation http://www.travel.state.gov/law/citizenship/citizenship_776.html Hope this helped. Good luck.

I have a friend that is a logger. The Logging co. he worked for is located here in the Pacific Northwest, but in the 90's when the logging industry was hit so hard, they bid on a job in New Zealand, and got it. My friend and others of the crew obtained work visas, however they were only good for three years max! For some of the guys, the job wasn't finished before the visa's ran out and even though the owner of the co. tried to get extensions for them, they couldn't stay. I think you'll find that some of these other countries don't have a Lady Liberty greeting immigrants and don't WANT one. Maybe you could consider Alaska or Hawaii? Far away but still part of the USA. Might be better than waking up some day to find out you are not only without a job, but also without a country! Bon Voyage!
10 :
Ever wonder why Canada has the highest immigration rate in the world? Because it's the easiest country in the world to find a job (not a mcjob, BTW) But, seriously if not used to asians, don't come to vancouver, 30% of them are chinamen's.

It looks as if you've already gotten the correct advice on EMigration and REnouncing your citizenship -- just make sure you already have citizenship in another country before you try or it will be a waste of time for you. Renunciation is a legal process that does have certain prerequisites. Quite frankly, if you do not value your American citizenship, I'm glad you're going -- better for you, better for the rest of us. Many others should join you. I doubt the Swiss will EVER let you just show up and live there, unless you marry a Swiss citizen. You'll likely have better luck in an Eastern European country, such as Poland -- they are experiencing severe shortages of certain types of workers. Good luck in your new life, though having heard this many times before, no offense, but I'm sure you won't follow through. One of the best ways to learn to love your country is to actually go and live overseas to see just what we have. If you ARE serious, then contact the consular sections of different countries in Europe that interest you, and ask them how it's done. As for Europe being the "new America", as someone said, well, that's just a joke. India or Brazil has a better chance at claiming that title than anywhere in Europe.
12 :
Join the Foreign Legion? Anyhow...I do not think you can 'claim' citizenship in another country [otherwise we wouldnt have such an immigration prob here lol], you have to apply for it, stating a good reason- according to their standards.
13 :
I believe you will need to go to an american embassy while in another country to renounce your citizenship. I would save money in order to have enough to deal with a mafia entity if you need to buy a wife (depending on where you are). I would go to Amsterdam and enjoy the weed. Wish I could go to as I am a socalist living in this capitalist nation.

Life in Zurich, Switzerland? I am 18 years old, from Canada, and I am planning on moving to Zurich in the next 4 to 5 years after I get my degree for a registered nurse. What is the job outlook for this occupation there? I was wondering if anyone would like to share some experiences of living in Switzerland and give me some advice about the work and life there. I love Europe and I heard that Zurich is one of the best cities. If anyone would like to help me out, it would be greatly appreciated :) Zurich - 1 Answers Random Answers, Critics, Comments, Opinions : 1 : Well, I'm originally from Zürich... I think, it's one of the best towns in Switzerland (but not really in Europe..). It has plenty of jobs to offer as well as unnumbered leisure possibilities. An absolute must, if you want to work there as a nurse: Fluency in German (actually, the language spoken by the locals is called Allemanic, some also call it Swiss-German)! Since you still have a few years to go, use it for that purpose. Living costs are much higher than in Canada which I know from personal travel experience. If you would want to look for a job, first try at the local clinics such as the University Hospital: http://www.en.usz.ch/german/default Good luck

How can I start a life abroad after graduation

How can I start a life abroad after graduation?
I'm a nursing student in Georgia, USA and I aspire to move to Europe after I graduate and live and work there for at least a year. I'm thinking either Germany, England, Scotland, or Switzerland (I've visited and am fond of all of these places). How would I go about finding a job, a place to live, and starting a life there? Any advice would be helpful, especially from those who have had experience moving away!

For Germany you become fluent in German, for Switzerland you become fluent in German, French, or Italian depending on where you want to live. If you only speak English you are limited to England and Scotland. You should get in contact with their boards to see what you can do to be qualified in the United Kingdom (though no love for Wales or Northern Ireland?!?!), you may have to attend extra courses, or just pay a fee. If you do speak any of the aforementioned languages the issue is the same, contact the board and find out what the procedure is for qualifying international nurses. Starting a life is your last worry now, you have to be allowed into the country first and be able to find work, which is less easy in the UK.

you may try to find this answer at a Swiss consulat. I don't think there are many nurses from Switzerland in this site.

You might try to readdress this question on http://www.genevaonline.ch site. It is a web page for English speaking people living in Switzerland. I am not a nurse but I would imagine it has to be more than $40000 a year.

The salary is quite good compared to other jobs . However, the cost of living is high in Switzerland.

I wouldn't consider Libya if I were you. Look for what happened to the Bulgarian nurses in this country. Switzerland is a much more secure and comfortable place to go. As Filipino, avoid Arabic countries by all means! For Filipino girls and women are highly disregarded and barely considered as more than slaves in those countries. Then same applies to Asian women in general.

We are moving to Switzerland, and I need help!?
My boyfriend and I are moving to Switzerland within the next 4 years and I was wondering how hard it is to move there. I am in the process of getting my nursing degree and was also wondering if Switzerland has a high demand for nurses like they do in the US. I am looking to get into the mental health field. 1. Is it hard to get a nursing job in Switzerland? 2. How much do they make? 3. Does a US nursing degree transfer to a nursing degree in Switzerland? Thanks in advance.

I don't have the exact answers to your questions, but I would recommend looking into specific health companies that send people around the world. Try to get a second language down pat and have some experience in your home country before looking to transfer. http://www.msf.ca/recruitment/who-is-needed/nurses/

Salaries in Switzerland (just like as in any other country) for nurses depend on your experience, special skills and age. There is however a website run by the Swiss Statistical Bureau that allows to calculate individual wages, its URL is http://www.bfs.admin.ch/bfs/portal/en/index/themen/03/04/blank/key/lohnstruktur/salarium.html

Read my 1 page essay and tell me what you think! I would really appreciate it?
Hey Everybody! I'm writing an essay for my English class and I just thought I'd figure out what you guys think would make it stronger. Please tell me what you think. Tell me what I could do to make it better. Note: It has no conclusion yet, so if anyone has any ideas feel free to should them out! Friendship in Frankenstein Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein is a book that everybody thinks that they understand because of accepted steryotypes, but few actually know the complexity of the story. It is a tale about a young scientist who discovers the secret of life and then reanimates a body he built from various corpses. He then becomes horrified by the abhorrent “monster” he created, and abandons him. Throughout the story, friendship between the characters serves as a universal remedy for misfortune. In Robert Walton’s opening letters, he explains to his sister about how he needs a friend on his voyage to the North Pole. He worries that when he is glowing with the enthusiasm of success, there will be no one to take part in his joy; if he is assailed by disappointment, no one will sustain him in dejection. In Walton’s view, even if he does reach the North Poe successfully, it would be bittersweet because there would be no one to share in his happiness. “How would such a friend repair the faults of your poor brother!” (18). If only he had a friend, he would be content and he’d be able to continue his trip to the best of his ability. Robert finds this friend in Victor Frankenstein, who he discovered exausted in the Arctic, and has a new sense of happiness. “I said in one of my letters, my dear Margret, that I should find no friend on the wide ocean; yet I have found a man who, before his spirit had been broken by misery, I should have been happy to have possessed as the brother of my heart.” (26). Being friendless on a ship in the North Pole made Walton depressed, but the friend he finds in Victor heals his sadness. Friendship also heals the woes of Victor. After he gives life to the creation, he becomes disgusted and abhorred by what he has done and abandons him. When he is raoming the streets the morning after the birth of his “monster”, he meets his old friend Geneva, Henry Clerval. “I grasped his hand, and in a moment forgot my horror and misfortune; I felt suddenly, and for the first time during many months, calm and serene joy.” (58). The introduction of his friend relieves Victor’s sadness, and makes him joyful again after months of creating, what was to him, a wretched beast. Victor soon becomes very sick and Henry nurses him for several months reanimating his spirits. When Victor is well again, Henry brings him out to admire the beauty of nature. “Study had before secluded me from the intercourse of my fellow creatures and rendered me unsocial, but Clerval called forth the better feelings of my heart; he again taught me to love the aspect of nature and the cheerful faces of children. Excellent friend!” (68). Henry came to Victor when he was sick and troubled and revived his friend’s misery. Victor’s creation also feels that a companion could cure some of his grief. After being deserted by his creator, the creation lives a hard life of being rejected by all humans. The creation begs Victor to create for him a wife so that he could have someone to love him. “ I demand a creature of another sex, but as hideous as myself; the gratification is small, but it is all that I can receive, and it shall content me.” (139). The creation’s entire existence had been marked by rejection and he figured that the only thing that could accept him would be someone else like him. “Our lives will not be happy, but they will be harmless and free from the misery I now feel.” (139). The creature realizes that even with such a companion his life is not going to be happy, but he knows that it will be better.

Very good. Only thing I would say is to go more in depth with it. What you've got here is well written, but you're outlining the plot and talking about the plot through the whole thing, when you could analyze the characters more, go more into emotions, reasons behind actions, authors purpose and effects on society.

This guy's a loser - get out now, while the getting is good! Sounds like a spoiled child and wants his mother's approval of you. If he was grown up, and really cared about your and your feelings, he would wait until you are ready to meet his mother. What's really important is his behavior - everything is mine, mine, mine and throwing things around - how long before he tosses you up against the wall?

Why does Israel mess with my palestinian brothers

Why does Israel mess with my palestinian brothers?
because the palestinians are suffering here are some facts fo zionists following numbers are numbers from septmeber 2000 to march 2004 Palestinians killed-2,859 deaths including 527, or 19% children (below 18 years). At least 82% civilian. 600 killed by heavy weapons. 1,728 killed by live ammunition. 308 in assassination attacks/extrajudicial killings (grave breach of the 4th Geneva Convention and as such considered war crimes). 152 of those were bystanders or “unintended” victims, killed as they were with the victim, 35 were children and 25 were women. Investigations were not conducted, granting immunity to Israelis and allowing them to act unlawfully Palestinians injured-41000 West Bank4 :35.7% children, 32.4% by live ammunition, 64.9% upper body, 39% moderate-severe (16,673 cases, 28/02/02) Gaza Strip 5 : c.20% children, 37% live ammunition, 60% upper body, (6000 cases - 6/3/02) UNICEF estimates 7000 children injured Permanet disabilities-Estimated at 2,5007. Estimated 500 Palestinian child disabled Attacks on Emergency Medical Personnel and Services-25 (1 German) physicians / nurses / ambulance drivers killed while on duty (opening fire on ambulances/shelling of residential areas).10 425 PRCS and Union of Palestinian Medical Relief Committees (UPMRC) Emergency Medical Technicians and first aid workers injured (including 2 physicians). 121 ambulances were attacked and damaged. 36 PRCS and UPMRC ambulances destroyed. 197 attacks on PRCS ambulances by live ammunition, rubber bullets, and/or stones thrown by Israeli settlers. 991 incidents of denial of access to PRCS ambulances at roadblocks were reported. 85 Palestinian deaths due to prevention of access to emergency health care or treatment of chronic diseases. 290 counts of hospitals and clinics attacked and damaged. 71 emergency personnel and volunteers arrested since the invasion on 29 Match 11. During the long invasion in March/April 2002, UPMRC staff were stopped, detained and denied access up to 3 times daily, since April 2002 the mobile clinics severely obstructed. Attacks on Hospitals (wounding patients, cutting off electricity supplies)-Shelling of French hospital (Bethlehem), damages estimated at $25,000,12 Al Hussein hospital (Bethlehem).13 Live ammunition fired at Beit Jala, A-Dibs, French Hospitals in Bethlehem.14 Al Alia Hospital (Hebron) on 3 occasions,15 Al Yamama (Bethlehem), PRCS Maternity Hospital (Ramallah) and Ramallah General Hospital shelled;16 access denied to Khalid hospital (Ramallah) for several days17 Settlers attacked Augusta Victoria Hospital (Jerusalem), shot security officer (automatic gun).18 During the long invasion in March/April 2002 a large number of hospitals and medical clinics were attacked throughout the West Bank. Closures and curfews Collective punishment: Affects 3 million Palestinians in West Bank & Gaza Strip. The most severe and sustained set of movement restrictions imposed since the beginning of the occupation in 196723. - No access to medical care - Movement restrictions on medical personnel / supplies Internal closures and siege: 120 Israeli checkpoints in WB & GS. These and road blocks divide West Bank into 300 separate clusters and the Gaza Strip into 3 separate clusters. Severe internal closure: West Bank: 66% of days, Partial internal closure: West Bank: 34%, Gaza 94% of days24 Closure causes humanitarian problems such as water and gas shortages (ed Beit Furik & Beit Dajan). Other examples: Residents of Al Mawasi ‘tagged’ with identity numbers, so that Israeli army can permit them minimum movement in and out of area. Israel erected electric gate at entrance to al Sifa, residents permitted movement in/out only from 7-9am and 3-5pm. May 2002: Israeli government introduces new personal permit regime and makes movement between Palestinian towns in the West Bank impossible. The Bantustanization of the Palestinian territories is complete. Construction of “separation” fence between the West Bank and Israel started. External closures: West Bank and Gaza Strip sealed off from the rest of the world. Gaza International airport been closed since February 2001; “safe passage” between Gaza Strip & West Bank closed since Oct. 2000 (Oslo accords forbid its closure); frequent lengthy closure of bridge to Jordan, border with Egypt (Rafah entrance), entrances to Israel (Al-Mintar and Beit Hanoun crossings). Since the beginning of March 2002 the Israeli army has repeatedly invaded areas under Palestinian control and placed towns and villages under prolonged curfew. Palestinian arrests and detention by Israeli authorities-It is estimated that since the 29th of March 2002, 15,000 Palestinians have been detained, 6,000 of who remain in prison. Of these, 1,700 Palestinians are under administrative detention25 meaning they have not had a trial, and are imprisoned without charges being brought against them. 350 Palestinian children currently held in Israeli prisons and detention centers inside Israel and in the West Bank. Of these around 30 are held in administrative detention26. Many of the prisoners are subjected to torture and do not receive adequate medical care. Property Damage Attacks on residential areas (Collective punishment)-During the first 15 months of the Intifada physical damage amounted to US$ 305 million27. During the month long invasion in March/April the Israeli army destroyed and looted US$ 361 million worth of property28 Since the beginning of the Intifada until February 2002: Shelling & demolition destroyed 720 homes completely, and 11,553 damaged. 73,600 people were affected29. 30 mosques, 12 churches30, 134 water wells31, cemeteries. 34,606 olive & fruit trees uprooted32 & 1162.4 dunums of land confiscated33, 14,339 dunums of land bulldozed or burned34. During the March-April invasion: 881 homes destroyed, 2,883 houses in refugee camps damaged affecting 22,500 people living in those houses35. Gaza strip: more than 601 houses completely demolished, approx. 16,000 dunums (16 million square meters of land), mostly agricultural razed by the Israeli army36 Education (Collective punishment-MoE reports 850 schools temporarily closed, 8 schools turned into military barracks. 185 schools were shelled and fired upon by Israeli soldiers; 11 schools completely destroyed, 9 vandalized. 15 schools used as detention centers and army barracks. 132 Palestinian students killed and 2,500 injured on their way to or from school 1135 school days have been lost because of Israeli attacks37. During the long invasion in March/April 2002 54, 730 teaching sessions per day were lost due the complete cessation of classes Economic conditions (Collective punishment) -Total income losses to Palestinian economy est. between $ 3.2-10 billion (income only, does not include cost of destruction of public and private property). Daily domestic losses: $6.0 – 8.6 million/business day Total wage income loss: $59.4 million Unemployment: Gaza 67%, West Bank 48% 75% of Palestinians living in poverty (less than $2 a day): 84.6% in Gaza and 57.8% in the West Bank38 Economic losses forcing 69% of Palestinian firms either to shut down or reduce production39 51% drop in GNP.40 Israel prevents 125,000 Palestinians from going to work41. The World Bank estimates that in case of a solution to the conflict and lifting of the closure it will take at least 2 years for the Palestinian economy to restore to a pre-Intifada per capita income level42 UN Resolutions/ Reports: Condemning Israel for disproportionate and excessive use of force against Palestinian civilians and failure to adhere to international laws.-7 May 2002: UN General Assembly, 10th Emergency Special Session resumed. Maybe after millenia of being oppressed, they wanted to try being the oppressor?
2 :
Here's another nut on the internet. The Israelies only respond to the outrages committed by your Palestinian brothers. If they would stop their suicide bombings killing innocents and their other aggressive acts there could be peace. Israel does not launch unwarranted attacks. The innocent Palestinian blood spilled is on the hands of your Palestinian brothers. Their all or nothing attitude is what causes the death and destruction.
3 :
That was not a a question, bro, that was a rant. Nevertheless, it has an answer. You have it backward. Since the earliest settlements in "Palestine" c. 1900, the Jews tried to befriend the locals (no "Palestinians" then, just Arabs). They bought all the land they settled, and their goal was to live in harmony as much as they were permitted to. After the partition in 1948, the new country of Israel begged the Arabs within its borders to stay. Those who did stay prospered, their holy places and holy days were respected, they even had seats in the parliament. But those who fled have never had peace, or even a decent standard of living, since. Some help they got from their fellow Arabs, hey, those who encouraged them to flee? No, they let their kinsmen rot in squalid DP camps for three generations. It is still an essential component of the Palestinian political agenda, and of the hard-line Arab states, to "drive the Jews into the sea". How does one live in peace with people who want you dead? They teach their children to hate, and send their young men and women to suicide in public places as walking shrapnel-bombs. How would you deal with neighbors like these? I doubt you'd sit by and let them do it. After 60 miserable years, I imagine you'd get to the point where you'd want to "mess with" them too. Thumbs down? Bring it on! But get both sides of the story, and the history, before you pass judgment on the Israeli/Palestinian conflict.....
4 :
let me tell you why!!! the reason is that you guys are trying to take over their land. The land that you guys are right now use to belong to israel and you guys took it away. now they want it back

Because they are thieves, liars and murderers.

Sure hope others will join me in reporting this moron.

Don't think so. Just faulty communication problems. Look in the real world. Who keep on firing the rockets at them. Ever wonder if one have communication problems. With self lack of knowledge in solving it. Ever wonder what will one do about it? Will one be the one who fire all those rockets? Even when Ramadan, X'mas, or New year was over? So who keep on playing with fire-crackers? Luke 9.55-56 So why not go and learn and master on how to communicate in one new universal language and one speech in living words for better communication. Instead of eerily wailing in ghostly kitchen's dialect with ghostly and deadly words from the graveyards of ancestor's culture and custom? Luke 6.39-40,41-45,46-49 What do you think? Happy New year !

Which college should I choose

Which college should I choose?
I am in between 2 different colleges. The 1st is Geneva College in Beaver Falls, PA and is about 6 1/2 hours from here. I really like the college, but I don't know if I want to go that far away. It has a good pre-nursing program, but after 2 years I would have to go to a nursing school up in New York, which is even father away. The 2nd is Gwynedd-Mercy College in Gwynedd Valley, PA and is about 15 mins from here. They have an excellent Nursing program and I can get my RN after 2 years. The problem is that I don't know if I want to live at home. I would get a car out of the deal, but I would have to be living with my parents for another 4 years and I don't know if I could do that. I love them, but they can be a pain in the butt. Let me know what you think! What should I do?

There are lots of places you can study nursing. You have chosen to narrow it down to just these two schools. Petersons.com lists 45 options for nursing in Pennsylvania http://www.petersons.com/nursing/ug_code/ug_searchresults.asp?sponsor=1 It is easier to chose between just two, but there are other options. Gwynedd-Mercy costs $20,000 per year and Geneva is roughly $10,000. If you looked at a state school like East Stroudsburg, tuition is more like $6000 per year. To become a nurse, you have to pass a national test, and the people who give the test don't care if you went to Harvard or community college to prepare for the test. If you leave school thousands of dollars in debt, you will have fewer options than if you are debt-free. You also say that you don't want to be far away from "here", but then you say your parents can be a pain in the butt. So, what's great about "here"? Are there friends you could get an apartment with, or a dorm you could live in and make new friends wherever you end up going?
3 :
Choose the school closest to home. Loan debt is no joke. I had the same decision to make and opted for out of state and I will be paying for it. If you earn any type of scholarships and/or aid in the form of grants and scholarships then go as far as you want if you feel like you can maintain a high gpa. But take the car and living at home...although living on campus is an experience boy oh boy is it something that can go wrong. Besides you can get an apartment out of the deal too if you try.

None of the above. As she died in 1912 she could not have been involved in 1 or 3. Anyway she was an active force in creating the nursing corp for the Union Army during the American Civil War. After the war she formed the American Red Cross.
2 :
The answer is 2. Clara Barton wanted the Geneva convention to be signed by the US because she was anxious to set up a branchof the Red Cross in the USA, and she subsequently became the first President of the REd Cross in the USA.

(a)

I'm sure that it's A. I wrote a whole paper on Clara Barton. She was a pioneer in women nurses on the battlefield during the civil war. She also went on to create the red cross foundation.

WikiLeaks: The truth is now out. How do you feel about it and did you still enjoy your breakfast?
According to newspaper websites, the classified US Government documents released by WikiLeaks include claims of: - "Inappropriate behaviour" by a member of the Royal Family. - Requests for "specific intelligence" about British MPs. - "Devastating" criticisms of British operations in Iraq. - "Serious political criticisms" of Prime Minister David Cameron. - US diplomats pressuring countries to resettle former Guantanamo detainees. - "Grave fears" in London and Washington over the security of Pakistan's nuclear weapons programme. - "Harsh" criticism by US embassy staff of their host governments, including Russia and China. - Alleged links between the Russian government and organised crime. - Details of countries involved in financing terrorist groups. - Reports of a near environmental "disaster" involving a rogue shipment of enriched uranium. - Technical details of secret US-Russian nuclear missile negotiations in Geneva. - Secret US efforts to combat al-Qaeda in Yemen. - A description of Libyan leader Muammar Gaddafi, who is said to be accompanied everywhere by a "voluptuous blond" Ukrainian nurse. - Reports that the King of Bahrain and King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia urged the Americans to take military action to halt Iran's nuclear programme. - US assessments that Iran has obtained advanced missiles from North Korea that could enable it to strike European capitals. - Secret - and so far unsuccessful - US efforts to remove highly enriched uranium from a Pakistani research reactor amid fears it could be diverted for use in an illegal nuclear device. - Conversations between American and South Korean officials over the prospects for a unified Korea, should the North's economic troubles and political transition lead it to "implode". - A global campaign of computer sabotage by Chinese government agents.

3 :
Hmm... I find this one interesting... "Reports that the King of Bahrain and King Abdullah of Saudi Arabia urged the Americans to take military action to halt Iran's nuclear programme."
4 :
Pretty much as expected. The confirmation is nice. Breakie is just fine.

Thanks for that nice detailed list. I haven't had time to really study what's been released yet. Your list demonstrates that we humans aren't nearly as sophisticated and evolved as we like to pretend. Maybe we'll nuke or pollute ourselves out of existence. Seems quite likely with the way things are going. As for Wikileaks, maybe our "leaders" all need to get their games exposed. They've secretly bargained our lives and fortunes away for far too long. Go Julian! Doesn't sound to me like lives will be lost for that -- just a bit of politician dignity will be lost is all, and that's a good thing. Not worried about breakfast as I haven't even gotten to bed yet. @@
6 :
Yea, I do enjoy actually my breakfast. Politicians have avoided introduction of new mechanisms of responsibility for their international actions. Everything continued to be covered with dark veil of 'state secrecy' which allowed them decide the questions of war and peace without ANY control of their constituency. The system has not been reformed and we paid THOUSANDS of lives of young boys in uniformed killed in Iraq and Afghan - two wars started by governments of democratic countries just at the snap of fingers without a bit of sanction on the part of peoples that elected them. No the DARE give some cynical nonsense about the ' weakileaks putting in jeopardy lifes'!! So once there are no direct control over those games on the part of governments provided by the existing democratic systems, the Internet and good will of free global community came to the assistance. I do think that the founder of the Weakileak is more worthy of the Nobel Price than Obama (although I am a great fan of this president and persona)

Does anyone know why they would not ell me over the phone? and i know some facilities will let you train for free if you promise to work for them for at least one year i do not know if they are one maybe this is the reason why they wouldnt tell me over the phone but its a simple question do not know why they just wouldnt say

the stna classes are 75 hours first week is classroom instruction - how to make bed how to transfer someone feed someone bath someone then you have clinical where you go to a place like nursing home and do actual hands on patient care with instructor some places will pay for classes if you agree to work for them for certain amount of time some places charge 400.00 or more for these classes sometimes you can get help thru things like job and family services or vocca call around see who can help you after you take classes you have like 3 months to then take the state test some of the larger nursing home corporations will pay for your classes as far as why the place did not tell you over the phone that sounds little shady to me

what position in the millitary would a nurse get the most combat training

what position in the millitary would a nurse get the most combat training?
Im joining the military soon with a BSN and i know that under the Geneva convention nurses are allowed the right to protect their patients but im just simply curious about some of the options in military for this field. As ignorant as this may sound please refrain a little from making fun of the post,

"Position"? If you want combat, go into an armored cav squadron or an infantry battalion. Be careful what you wish for...
2 :
As a nurse you wont see much if any combat in your career. Considering that, it would be a waste of taxpayers money to train you beyond basic combat skills.
3 :
If a Nurse with a BSN joins the military, then he/she serves as a Nurse. There are options to serve in a variety of specialty areas, such as Operating Room, Emergency Medical Trauma, Critical Care, so on and so forth. We all get the same military training, including weapons qualification, defending our hospital, etc in the event we get attacked. We are not expected to engage in combat, if that is what you are asking. Not sure what you are really looking for in an answer, so please feel free to contact me or add additional details.
4 :
Even though you have a BSN no one will MAKE you go in as a Nurse. That is YOUR choice. So if you want to be in combat arms..join something besides Nursing. I have a buddy that hold a JD (law degree) and is licensed attorney and serves as an Infantry Officer because that is what he WANTS to do. Has no desire to do law in the military.

ok. well there is the officer side and enlisted side. for enlisted a 68W is a health care specialist. which is often called a combat medic. because they can be attached to any type of line unit. and they are the first responder on the line. so you could easily be in a scout, IN, MT, EN, MI or any other type of unit. they move, you move. as an officer you are not outside the wire as much. you are in a clinic and hospital seeing patience. even as a BN PA, you don't go on convoys and see much action. my husband is a 68W. in his 20+ years he has seen lots of combat. he has put many people back together again. some lived and some died. but he was always their first chance of survival. usually he just stabilizes them and gets them MEDIVACed out. very rairly does he find out if they "made it" unless they are in his unit. he see it in the news paper or even once he saw the guy one Oprah holding a picture of the medic who saved his life, him

Like i called a place called Rae Anne's and they do training and they said they dont start a new class until march. And when i asked them about how much it is for the training they were not aloud to give out any info over the phone and that I had to walk in there and read their info sheet.

- A global campaign of computer sabotage by Chinese government agents.

i will try to enjoy my breakfast, but this is all very unsettling, and may I add scary.
2 :
I think I'll be enjoying my breakfast a little more than Hillary and Barack. Yet another Obama bonus: Never before has an administration LOST so many classified government documents. Pathetic. And yes, scary.
3 :

He then becomes horrified by the abhorrent “monster he created, and abandons him. “How would such a friend repair the faults of your poor brother! (18). If only he had a friend, he would be content and he’d be able to continue his trip to the best of his ability. Robert finds this friend in Victor Frankenstein, who he discovered exausted in the Arctic, and has a new sense of happiness. “I said in one of my letters, my dear Margret, that I should find no friend on the wide ocean; yet I have found a man who, before his spirit had been broken by misery, I should have been happy to have possessed as the brother of my heart. (26). Being friendless on a ship in the North Pole made Walton depressed, but the friend he finds in Victor heals his sadness. Friendship also heals the woes of Victor. After he gives life to the creation, he becomes disgusted and abhorred by what he has done and abandons him. When he is raoming the streets the morning after the birth of his “monster, he meets his old friend Geneva, Henry Clerval. “I grasped his hand, and in a moment forgot my horror and misfortune; I felt suddenly, and for the first time during many months, calm and serene joy. (58). Excellent friend! (68). “ I demand a creature of another sex, but as hideous as myself; the gratification is small, but it is all that I can receive, and it shall content me. (139). The creation’s entire existence had been marked by rejection and he figured that the only thing that could accept him would be someone else like him. “Our lives will not be happy, but they will be harmless and free from the misery I now feel. (139).
