can i sharpen a swiss army knife with a kitchen knife sharpener?
i have a http://www.dickssportinggoods.com/product/index.jsp?productId=1764684 and i was wondering would it damage the knife. i just dont want any suprises because i am a nurse and i work late and i keep it for protection

I don't know that specific knife; but can tell you from military know-how, that there are only a few knives that can not be sharpened with standard tools. It (sharpening) is more a matter of technique, and your purposes don't appear to call for special concern. What you could do is practice on some old kitchen knife first.

Yes, you can sharpen that knife with the household sharpener. I do recommend that you use a sharpening stone, with oil, but that is just me.

You could, but if it's an antique I would leave it to the pros's. Do you work in a hospital? Where I worked carrying a knife would get you suspended if not fired

A sharpening stone is definitely the best way to go. You can use a kitchen knife sharpener and it will work, but it also may slowly erode the blade.
