what do you have to do to become a STNA (State Tested Nurse Aid)

what do you have to do to become a STNA (State Tested Nurse Aid)?
i live in geneva ohio and i was wondering what do you actuall do to become a STNA i know training can take as little as two weeks but what do you doin your training at the ones by my house they only do it at certain times of the year. Like i called a place called Rae Anne's and they do training and they said they dont start a new class until march. And when i asked them about how much it is for the training they were not aloud to give out any info over the phone and that I had to walk in there and read their info sheet. Does anyone know why they would not ell me over the phone? and i know some facilities will let you train for free if you promise to work for them for at least one year i do not know if they are one maybe this is the reason why they wouldnt tell me over the phone but its a simple question do not know why they just wouldnt say

the stna classes are 75 hours first week is classroom instruction - how to make bed how to transfer someone feed someone bath someone then you have clinical where you go to a place like nursing home and do actual hands on patient care with instructor some places will pay for classes if you agree to work for them for certain amount of time some places charge 400.00 or more for these classes sometimes you can get help thru things like job and family services or vocca call around see who can help you after you take classes you have like 3 months to then take the state test some of the larger nursing home corporations will pay for your classes as far as why the place did not tell you over the phone that sounds little shady to me
